Moon ritual planner illustration showing new moon, quarter moon, and full moon phases.
Moon phase imagery helps readers connect each ritual prompt to a visible point in the lunar cycle.

How this guide was prepared

Our editors mapped the standard lunar phase cycle to reflection, action, release, and reset rituals, then kept the practices flexible for different schedules. Check the moon calendar for exact upcoming phase dates before choosing ritual timing.

The moon pulls the tides of the ocean and the tides of our emotions. Use this planner to align your actions with the lunar cycle.

New Moon: The Planting Phase

Energy: Quiet, dark, fertile, inward.

Ritual Idea: Plant a seed (literally or metaphorically). Write down 3 intentions on paper, read them aloud, and place them under a candle or planting pot.

First Quarter: The Action Phase

Energy: Resistance, momentum, building.

Ritual Idea: The "Do It Scared" challenge. Identify one task you've been avoiding that aligns with your New Moon intention and complete it within 4 hours.

Full Moon: The Harvest & Release Phase

Energy: High visibility, illumination, intensity.

Ritual Idea: Water Release. Fill a bowl with water. Speak your worries or resentments into the water. Pour it down the drain or into the earth (outside) to signify cleansing.

Last Quarter: The Compost Phase

Energy: Surrender, breakdown, rest.

Ritual Idea: The Declutter. Choose one drawer, digital folder, or corner of a room to clean out. As you remove physical clutter, visualize mental clutter clearing space for the next cycle.
